My Birthday

So after all of the excitement that went on the day before my birthday, I had just as good of a day on my actual birthday. Not many people get to celebrate their birthday two days in a row!! Nathan took me out to eat for lunch, I got many wonderful phone calls, texts, and messages from all of my sweet, sweet friends and family, and then had dinner at some friends of ours last night. Ben and Ashley are a couple that we have met at church and they are some of the sweetest, most genuine people. They invited us and the Peabody's over for chicken, mashed potatos, and fried okra. It was delicious!! We played with their precious little boy Brinson, and got to know eachother a lot better. Ashley had told me that she wanted to make me a birthday cake. She makes the most amazing cakes. They are always so elaborate and delicious. I told her, please don't make one for my birthday because I know how much work you have to put in to it...so she didn't make me a cake, she made it for all of us...haha!! It was awesome!! Here is a picture of "Our Cake".

p.s. If you need a decorative cake...I can send you some pictures of some of the cakes she has made...no lie...they taste as good as they look!! I highly recommend her!!
Thank you everyone for making my birthday a very, very special one!!

Wednesday, July 15

I had doctor's appointment on Wednesday morning. I met with the nurse and we talked about a lot of things, I asked a lot of questions, and then I had to have some bloodwork done. The doctor that I was using (that I really, really liked) is moving at the end of July, so I had to find a new doctor. I haven't actually met her yet, but I did meet her nurse and I really like her...so I'm excited to meet the doctor in a couple of weeks. My bloodwork came back good and I will have a second sonogram on August 3...yay!!

After my doctor's appt., my mom took me and my sweet friend Shayna to Cracker Barrel for brunch. We had such a great time! Then mom had to go to work :( Shayna and I ran around town and then headed back to Snyder. On our way home, Shayna talked to Kelby about getting a haircut that evening and I said, "Is there any way that Nate can get a haircut too?" So we made plans to do hair that night. Well when Nathan got off of work, I told him that Kelby was going to cut his hair...little did I know, everyone else had already made plans. We got to Kelby's, opened the front door and SURPRISE!!! They had thrown me a birthday party. I had no idea!! Can I just say that I have the BEST FRIENDS ever!!!! Here is a picture of all the wonderful gifts that I got for my birthday!!!

Girlfriends

On Monday night we all just needed some girl time. So some of us girls met out at Kelby's house for a yummy dinner, good talks, and just hanging out. We had rented a movie to watch, but instead we talked, and talked, and talked. We laughed about old times, got to know things about eachother that some of us didn't know, and just had a really good time!! I didn't get a picture of all of us girls, but we did get some pictures of precious Makali and Mabry taking a bath together. And then we laughed that we would definitely have to pull some of these out for their senior year...

Fourth of July!

For the Fourth of July, I got to hang out with my precious niece Holly! This is a picture of her still in her pajamas, while we went to get donuts. She has gotten so tall, it's unbelievable!! We had so much fun! We went to the parade, walked through the park, went swimming, ate a lot, and watched fireworks that night! I was so glad that I got to spend the day with her and I just hope that she had as much fun as I did!

Carnival

Last Wednesday night was the first night of the carnival and so Nathan and I went with the rest of the family to take the youngsters. They had such a good time! I love making memories.

Good Times

Look at this beautiful hibiscus my mom has growing in her backyard.

Here is a picture of me and my mom.

Two weekends ago, Nathan and some friends from college decided to get together for a morning of golf. So Nathan and I went to Lubbock that Friday night and stayed with my mom and Lamar. While Nathan went to play golf Saturday morning, I hung out with the most beautiful, most awesome chick in the world...my MOM!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my mom and do not get to see her as often as I would like, but when I do it is such a sweet time! My mom is one of the strongest women I know and if you ever need advice or someone to look up to...she is your gal! So, Thank you mom for being so wonderful and for the good times we share!! I love you!!

New Neighbors...well kind of

A few weeks ago, Nathan and I found a bird's nest on our porch. We talked about what we should do with it. Should we move it and risk the chance of the momma bird not being able to find her nest... or should we leave it and get to enjoy white droppings by our front door? Well, it wasn't that hard of a decision...we left it. I was walking outside of the house Monday morning for work and looked up to find a sweet surprise. The eggs had hatched and their were baby birds in the nest. Oh how neat!!! They kept opening their mouths like they were trying to make noise, but nothing was coming out. I know that they won't stay long, but it has been a joy watching the process. God's creations = AMAZING!!
